Monthly Salary:
Duplicating Equipment Operator III: $2,167.91
Duplicating Equipment Operator II:  $1,970.83
Duplicating Equipment Operator I:   $1,833.33

This position may be filled at the alternate level of the JFD depending upon the qualifications of the recommended applicant.

This job is assigned responsibilities related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of duplicating equipment including high speed computer operated digital duplicators associated with the reproduction of agency documents.

Operates a variety of duplicating equipment.
Cleans and maintains equipment.
Prepares materials for the finishing and bindery process.
Maintains an inventory of supplies associated with the duplicating process.
Plans and supervises the operation of all reproduction and associated peripheral equipment in a print shop; plans and lays out work; reviews work while in progress to ensure quality.
Consults with division heads and other officials concerning their special needs and the availability of services.
Coordinates the reproduction services with other activities of the division

Knowledge of basic mathematics, basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.  The ability  to operate basic duplicating equipment and related machinery; and to comprehend written and oral communication. Plus knowledge of mechanical principles involved in the operation of duplicating equipment; and of various paper sizes and weights, chemicals, inks, and other supplies used in the reproduction process.  Ability is required to set up and operate a variety of reproduction machines and related equipment plus knowledge of digital duplicators and of basic graphic art techniques.

Level III:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of two years of experience in the operation of digital duplicators.

Level II:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of experience in the operation of duplicating equipment.

Level I:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of none.

A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.

This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
