BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This Registered Nurse position is responsible to review, audit, and analyze nursing & health care services provided by direct care providers to ensure the appropriate health care resources are used at the appropriate level to meet the health care needs of clients. Duties includes assessing, evaluating, and allocating appropriate health care resources to meet individual needs.
Specialist level responsible to valuate adherence, estab health care standards & the effectiveness of health mgmt.
plans/programs; conduct PASRRs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's):
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and techniques; of hospital procedures; of medical supplies and terminology, of community and home health resources, of levels of acute and rehabilitative treatment, and adaptive equipment; of various disabilities and illnesses; and of competitive costs of health care services.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and national professional standards, and accounting and auditing standards
• Ability is required to analyze and interpret various health care needs; to evaluate proposed treatment plans; to identify required supplies or equipment needed to support the health care plan; to propose alternative treatments; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Ability is also required to analyze complex health concerns and adopt appropriate courses of action and to determine cost effectiveness of health care plans and programs
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of professional nursing experience.
Must have an R.N. license in good standing with Oklahoma Board Nursing
A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.

This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
