Position Description: Physical Demands and Work Environment:
OSDH is seeking a full time Physical Therapist II providing support to Tulsa County SoonerStart. This is an unclassified position, PIN 34003484, in state government, located in Tulsa, OK. This position provides developmental evaluations, consults to team members, development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and on-going intervention services in the child’s natural environment. This is the specialist level where incumbents are assigned responsibilities for performing advanced level technical duties in physical therapy. Incumbents at this level may assume a lead role in evaluation, assessment, program planning, intervention, supervise physical therapy students during field work experience, and may be responsible for in-service training in areas of recognized expertise at the local, regional and state level. Positions which are the only physical therapy position in a facility, with overall responsibility for the physical therapy program, may also be included in this level.
Education and Experience:
A current Oklahoma license as a Physical Therapist issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision plus three years of professional experience as a licensed Physical Therapist; or an advanced level master’s degree or doctorate in pediatric rehabilitative services, pediatric occupational therapy, special education, or a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience.
Work is typically performed in the child’s natural environment which includes the home, childcare, or wherever children in this age group are typically found. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Travel is required with this position.
