This position is located at the Will Rogers Memorial Office Building, OKC.

Annual Hiring Rate: $35,560.77
Bi-Weekly Hiring Rate: $1,367.72

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for
:
Process purchase requisitions accurately per law/regulations/guidelines; Draft and review product or service specifications.

Duties may include:
Accurate & proper data entry; recommend products/services/supplies; determine appropriate method of goods/services acquisitions; prepare, assist with compliance and evaluate invitations-to-bid and requests-for-proposal; maintain bidder lists; maintain product, services & supplier information; maintain acquisition records; perform contract administration including monitor contractor compliance; seek resolutions for contract, service, quality of product, etc. issues between contractor and agency; other duties as assigned.

Preference will be given to Certified Procurement Officers (CPO) with the State Of Oklahoma and those with experience in the procurement module of the CORE PeopleSoft System.

Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position.

BASIC PURPOSE

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the acquisition of goods and services for an institution or agency.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

The Contracting and Acquisitions Agent job family consists of four levels which are distinguished by the level of complexity of specific job assignments, the extent of responsibility assigned for a specific task, the level of expertise required for the completion of assigned tasks, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others. 
 
Level I                                   
This is the basic level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities for beginning level professional and technical work related to contracting and the procurement of goods and services for an institution or agency.  Responsibilities may include reviewing and processing requisitions, making recommendations concerning purchases, preparing bid specifications, contracts and requisitions, and maintaining files.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level I:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of three years technical clerical work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
