Monthly Salary: $5,702.29

INTRODUCTION:

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Deputy Director, this position assists in planning, organizing, managing, and/or supervision of a major program and/or component of a major program for an assigned area of a division within the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS  
Assignments may include employee complaints, corrective discipline, grievances, field investigations, audits, and prepare investigative reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of agency policy, state and federal regulations relevant to division¿s programs, Comprehensive knowledge of methods for the administration, management and planning for assigned program area; Skill in administering programs, maintaining positive working relationships; Demonstrated ethical judgment in the solution and/or resolution of problems; Ability to objectively gather, analyze and present complex or sensitive data and to recommend appropriate solutions and/or actions; Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written; interpersonal skills necessary to provide positive solutions to complex and diverse issues and concern involving corrective discipline and grievances.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of the curriculum requirements for a master's degree and 2 years of professional supervisory, managerial, consultative, or administrative experience in public health administration, social work, guidance counseling, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration or business administration; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substitutin 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

NOTES:
A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.
Veteran's preference points do not apply to this position.
    
BENEFITS:
This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
