Roadway Division Announcement - Oklahoma County Job Duties:
Supervise and manage Roadway Design Division’s design squad for Division's 2 and 3. Coordinate plan development processes with the other branches of ODOT, FHWA, and other government agencies. Prepare engineering reports and cost estimates for highway design plans. Review highway design plans for accuracy and clarity. Manage, review and evaluate performance of consultant projects. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the general public, public officials, and co-workers. Review and evaluate employee performance. Accumulate knowledge of engineering techniques, and specifications by attending seminars, training sessions, reading research data, periodicals and technical papers. Organize and distribute work schedules to the design squad. Review and advise driveway agreements, right-of-way releases, new developments and other inquiries from throughout the Department, for the assigned area.

Roadway Division Announcement - Oklahoma County
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibility for overall management of a staff of engineers, technicians and other personnel who are responsible for providing engineering expertise, guidance and technical assistance to state agencies, consultants, and the public. They are differentiated from lower levels in the Professional Engineer job family in that their focus is on broader supervisory and management issues including planning, organizing, and integrating the functions that report to them.
This is the management level where incumbents are typically responsible for the management of an engineering work unit.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of registration as a Professional Engineer and one year of supervisory experience in a professional engineering related field.
