General Statement

Under supervision, assists in regulating parking on District property and assists in maintaining District vehicles.

  • Transports District officials, employees, visitors and documents as instructed.
  • Verifies authorization to use District pool vehicles and to park District and private vehicles in Main Office Complex Garage.
  • Performs day-to-day maintenance of vehicles as needed, including changing tires and monitoring fluid levels; arranges for servicing and washing; identifies and requests necessary vehicle repairs; maintains records relating to vehicle maintenance.
  • Cleans and organizes garage area.

Other Job Functions

  • Ensures adherence to vehicle warranty requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Environmental Conditions

Work is performed in a parking garage setting and may involve exposure to a variety of operating mechanical equipment, loud noises, noxious odors and a variety of weather conditions.  Work requires the operation of a motor vehicle.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and supervise their performance with organization and discretion.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Skill in the operation and care of automobiles.

Absolute Requirements

Possession of a valid driver's license.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent
