Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations**
High school diploma or
GED and four (4) years of experience in construction, building inspection,
renovation, property maintenance enforcement, or a closely related field,
including at least one (1) year of experience performing inspections or code
enforcement work in a leadership capacity.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training, and experience that
provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will
be considered.
Must
be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and be exposed to insects,
rodents, unfriendly pets, and poisonous vegetation. A Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector
certification is required. Must possess
and maintain a valid driver's license as needed to operate city vehicles.
