Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this position exists is to supervise and assist a small group of workers engaged in skilled and semi-skilled custodial and building and grounds maintenance activities. The work responsibilities of this classification include: planning, assigning, inspecting and directing the work of crew; providing oversight and assistance to employees; and maintaining inventories and ordering supplies and equipment. Daily tasks are assigned by the Terminal Maintenance Supervisor and are inspected while in progress and upon completion. The Terminal Maintenance Foremen are responsible for organizing and participating in the work. Employees in this class report to the Terminal Maintenance Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have at least two (2) years of experience in custodial
work and building maintenance to include minor plumbing, electrical, and
mechanical repair.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience
that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
will be considered.
Special Requirements
Must submit to a Security Threat Assessment to
include, but is not limited to, a 5-year employment background check,
fingerprint check and criminal history check to satisfy Federal Aviation
Administration requirements. Employees must meet necessary security
requirements for unescorted access to the Security Identification Display Area
(SIDA). Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable
driving record in order to drive department vehicles. Work will include shift work, nights, weekends,
and holidays.
Kind of Examination
