Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
Applicant must pass the CritiCall exam, including the keystrokes per hour requirement. As a condition of continued employment, you must pass a background check and drug test. Must be willing to respond to the Emergency Communications Center when requested for man-made and natural disasters that could include working irregular hours, weekends, holidays and evenings. Employee must obtain and maintain certification for APCO Emergency Medical Dispatcher and NCIC. Must be 18 years old.

The current vacancies are with the City of Montgomery Emergency Communications Department and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Applicants will be screened and qualified based upon education and experience as shown on the application. Based on the number of vacancies, if there are enough qualified applications received, a selection procedure will be administered to rank applicants on the register. Tied scores will not be broken. If there are not enough qualified applicants, they will be considered equally qualified and placed on the register in alphabetical order.
