Terminal Maintenance Foreman

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**

The fundamental reason this position exists is to supervise and assist a small group of workers engaged in skilled and semi-skilled custodial and building and grounds maintenance activities.  The work responsibilities of this classification are: plans, assigns, inspects and directs the work of crew; provides support, oversight, and assistance to subordinates; and inventories and orders supplies and equipment used by department.  Daily tasks are assigned by the Airport Terminal Maintenance Supervisor and are inspected while in progress and upon completion.  Airport Terminal Maintenance Foremen are responsible for organizing and participating in the work. Employees in this class report to the Airport Terminal Maintenance Supervisor.

Must have at least two years of experience in custodial work and building maintenance to include minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repair.

Must submit to a Security Threat Assessment to include, but is not limited to, a 5-year employment background check, fingerprint check and criminal history check to satisfy Federal Aviation Administration requirements.  Employees must meet necessary security requirements for unescorted access to the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA).  Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record in order to drive department vehicles.  Work will include shift work, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position is open only to the Montgomery Regional Airport employees who have completed their probationary period and meet the minimum qualifications.
