Nature of Work

Senior-staff level position responsible for directing commercial development at Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM).  Responsible for activities related to the management of airfield and terminal commercial real estate, airport properties, ground lease management, the airport short- and long-term parking lots and allocation of rental car ready-return spaces on airfield property. This person is responsible for attracting, developing and maximizing all sources of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue and development at Montgomery Regional Airport. The person in this position also represents the Airport to the public, vendors, and other entities seeking to conduct business with the Airport.  In addition to oversight of airport concessionaires and leasehold tenants, position holder develops applicable business standards and procedures to support the mission, goals and strategies of the Airport.  Responsible for maintaining an electronic leasehold database of all Airport contracts and lease agreements. This person will manage all ground transportation parking operations and have direct supervision over the Parking Lot Supervisor.  The individual in this position exercises considerable judgment, discretion, and initiative in the daily business operations at the Airport under the supervision of the Executive Airport Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or a related field and five (5) years of work experience at the professional level or higher in managing lease agreements and contracts, along with managing tenant relations, to include at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity. Masters level education may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Kind of Examination
