Airport Facilities Operations and Maintenance Coordinator

Nature of Work

This is administrative and professional work directing the upkeep, preventative maintenance and repair of all facilities and grounds belonging to the Airport and situated on the 2,800 acres of land occupied by Montgomery Regional Airport. The incumbent ensures that all work is performed in adherence to standards set by state and federal regulatory bodies, airport administration and contractual obligations. Duties also include serving as a liaison with contractors and bidders on minor repair and maintenance contracts. Assignments received allow for considerable independent judgment and initiative in the selection of work methods and procedures for the division to achieve desired standards in efficiency and effectiveness. This position reports to the Facilities, Operations and Maintenance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have at least two (2) years of experience in operations at an air carrier airport. A Bachelor's Degree in aviation, airport management or a closely-related field may substitute.

Special Requirements

Must be willing to be on-call in the event of an airport emergency.

Kind of Examination

If more than five qualified applications are received, the supplemental questionnaire will be used to rank applicants on the register. Tied scores will not be broken. If there are five or less qualified applicants, they will be considered equally qualified and placed on the register in alphabetical order.
