Nature of Work

Fundamentally, this classification exists to fill two primary functions: the daily operation of the facility laundry room and the receipt, stocking, minor maintenance and repair, and issuance of various supplies, materials, records, and equipment.  Work includes maintaining the daily operation of the laundry room for the facility, maintaining supplies and inventory for the facility, supervising trustees, and maintaining work order logs.  Duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures under the direct supervision of the Corrections Officer Captain.  The Clerk comes in daily one-on-one contact with inmates inside and outside the cellblocks in the process of collecting and distributing laundry. 

Minimum Qualifications

High School/GED and six (6) months experience in maintaining an inventory and ordering supplies and/or experience managing a laundry facility.

 

 

NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
