fundamental reason this position exists is to cook and prepare meals for
detainees at the Montgomery County Youth Facility.Cooks employed at this facility must be
available to work a rotating shift that prepares meals seven days a week to
include nights, weekends, and holidays. The work responsibilities of the
position are: cooks and serves meals for detainees; cleans and maintains
kitchen and dining area; and maintains documentation of food preparation and
storage records.Employees in this class
receive direct supervision from the Food Service Supervisor.
(6) months experience preparing meals on a large scale in a commercial,
institutional, or a related facility or any equivalent combination of
experience and training.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the
requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
