The fundamental reason this position exists is to perform administrative duties in overseeing the daily operations of the city's Building Maintenance Department. The work includes directing and prioritizing maintenance projects on all city owned buildings. The essential functions include: oversees activities of building maintenance; develops short and long range plans; performs administrative duties; manages special projects and events; supervises management level employees; and prepares and monitors the operating budget. This position reports directly to the Director of Leisure Services and Facilities Management.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field. Must have at least five (5) years of building maintenance managerial and supervisory experience to include policy and procedure administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
