Tennis Manager (#CI7700)

Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to direct and manage the tennis operations at Lagoon Park and O'Connor Tennis Centers. Duties include overseeing the daily activities and programs; providing individual and group tennis lessons; planning and administering tennis tournaments; planning and coordinating tennis programs; and supervising full-time and part-time employees.  The employee reports directly to the Special Services Superintendent.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a four year college or university in Parks and Recreation, Business or Public Administration and four years responsible tennis operations experience with at least two years tennis facility management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

Special Requirements

Preference may be given to a candidate who possesses a professional tennis certification from either the United States Professional Tennis Association or the United States Professional Tennis Registry.
