The fundamental reason this position exists is
to oversee the daily operations and coordination of veterinary services for the
animals within the Montgomery Zoo. The position will work closely with the
veterinary team and animal care staff to ensure the health, safety, and
wellbeing of the zoo’s diverse animal collection. The work responsibilities of
the position are providing assistance to the animal care team, overseeing the
veterinary health records, and perform administrative related functions such as
records keeping and inventory, and contribute to the department’s objectives. This
position reports to the Zoo Veterinarian.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology,
Wildlife Conservation, Business Administration or closely related field and three
(3) years of professional experience working in a veterinary hospital,
zoological setting, or wildlife center.

knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
