Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to assist in the development and implementation of a funding and outreach strategy for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.  The essential functions of the position are: assists in planning, directing, and implementing a donor relations program to establish and maintain a systematic program for donor recognition, donor communication, donor acknowledgments, and special events;   promotes, staffs, and attends Museum sponsored events; and performs administrative duties.  Supervision is received from the Museum Development Officer. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university and one year of experience in fundraising, constituent/client relationship management, public relations, or a related area with two years of database management experience. Qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
