Parking Deck Attendant (#CI5645)

Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this classification exists is to collect parking fees at various vehicle parking facilities. Positions may be full and/or part-time positions depending on location. The essential functions are: collects parking fees; performs routine maintenance, housekeeping duties; and performs various administrative and clerical duties. Dependent upon location, employees receive general supervision from the Parking Deck Manager, Airport Vehicle Parking Supervisor, or Airport Vehicle Parking Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Six months experience performing cashiering duties to include public contact and using a personal computer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Note:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.


Special Requirements

City of Montgomery: Must be willing to work at least 25 hours to 40 hours per week. Must be willing to work any part of scheduled hours of operation.  ($10.3945 hourly)

Montgomery Airport: Must submit to an employment background check to satisfy Federal Aviation Administration requirements. Must be bondable. Work includes shift work, nights, weekends, and holidays. ($20,332 - $27,929 annually)

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to walk, bend, crouch, stoop and lift as needed to perform required housekeeping and maintenance tasks. Must be able to sit for long periods of time as needed to complete assigned shift duties.
