The
fundamental reason this position exists is to support the development,
implementation, and evaluation of housing policies and programs that address
affordable and workforce housing needs within the community. The Housing Policy
Analyst conducts comprehensive housing market analysis, evaluates funding and
investment opportunities, and assists in the design of programs that expand
access to housing across income levels. This position works collaboratively
with public agencies, private developers, nonprofit organizations, and
community stakeholders to recommend policy solutions and strategic investments.
The work responsibilities involve translating complex data into clear,
actionable insights to guide decision-making by senior leadership and elected
officials, while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local
housing regulations. The role requires independent judgment, advanced
analytical skills, and the ability to manage projects that directly impact the
City’s housing priorities. This classification reports directly to the Senior
Housing Manager.
