Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to provide paraprofessional and administrative support to the City Attorney’s Office. Primary work is in the area of civil defense litigation but also includes work involved in researching, analyzing, and investigating legal matters and drafting legal documents. The incumbent works with the City Attorney and legal staff to manage the legal case load incurred by the City. This position reports directly to the City Attorney.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a paralegal certificate and at least two years of recent paralegal experience OR at least four years of recent responsible paralegal experience to include case management, legal research, and interviewing clients. Preferred experience would be work done within the last ten (10) years.  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
