The fundamental reason this position exists is to lead the City’s
efforts to secure and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships,
philanthropic support, and external funding that enhance citywide programs,
events, and community initiatives. This position expands the City’s capacity to

expenditures where appropriate, and strengthen long‑term sustainability of
priority projects. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison to corporate,
nonprofit, foundation, and community partners; designs and manages partnership
frameworks; leads cross‑departmental coordination for fundraising and resource
development; and ensures unified external engagement and consistent
relationship management across the organization. This classification reports to
the Chief Administrative Officer or the Mayor’s designee.
