Introduction
The Maryland Department of Labor, (MDOL), Division of Workforce Development & Adult Learning - Correctional Education unit is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Special Education Instructor - Teacher Advanced Professional Certificate. This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies. The resulting eligible list will be maintained for one year after the closing date of the announcement.

POSITION DUTIES
- Provide individualized and group instruction to meet academic, vocational, and behavorial goals outline in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Create, review, and update IEP's in compliance with state and federal guideline, ensuring that accommaodations and modifications are appropriately addressed.
- Conduct assessments, track progress toward IEP goals, and document outcones to support education growth and compliance with regulations.
- Work with colleagues, administators, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support for student success and goal attainment.
- Ensure instuctional practices, assessments, and docuement comply with state and federal laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and other professional learning opportunities to stay updated on best practice in special education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of appropriate educational credentials as determined by the Maryland State Board of Education.
Experience: None.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2. Experience in Teaching Diverse Populations.
3. Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
4. Experience in IEP Case Management.
