LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
The
Director of Performance serves as a strategic partner within the Department of
General Services’ Office of State Procurement, responsible for driving
operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and
accountability. This role enhances team and individual effectiveness through
performance coaching, data-driven insights, and process optimization. Acting as
a senior advisor, the Director aligns performance strategies with
organizational goals, facilitates skill development, and strengthens execution
across procurement teams. By monitoring key metrics, reducing operational
friction, and promoting agile, high-performing work environments, the Director
plays a central role in advancing mission-critical procurement outcomes and
organizational resilience.
POSITION DUTIES
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s
degree from an accredited college or university in public administration,
business management, organizational development, human resources, or a related
field.
Experience: Seven years of managerial or leadership experience
in performance management, organizational development, operations, or a related
field. At least three of those years must include experience
working across silos and collaborate with executive leadership to align
performance strategies with broader organizational goals; as well as experience
within a complex or public sector organization.
