DEPUTY HEALTH OFFICER (Physician Cinical Specialist)

This position will serve as the Medical Director for the Washington County Health Department, with the ability to act on behalf of the Health Officer during their absence. This position will also provide clinical services across multiple Health Department clinics, oversee administrative functions for various departmental programs and, contribute to the Emergency Preparedness program and support the Communicable Disease program.

Qualified candidates must possess a Degree in medicine from an accredited college or university and a license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland. In addition to the license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland, applicants MUST either possess a master's degree in public health and at least 2 years experience in the field of public health OR at least 5 years experience in the field of public health.

Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. Please be sure to include a copy of your current licensure or license number and expiration date with your completed application.
