Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist with the coordination and facilitation of work within the Local Management Board (LMB). Duties include: coordination with local Boards of Education, program vendors (subgrantees), service providers, youth/families, and other stakeholders to promote partnership, coordination, and collaboration of youth and family serving entities.

The selected candidate will organize, facilitate and steer meetings with government and non-government agencies and will work to ensure a seamless system of care for youth and families, acting as a resource for subgrantees/vendors, as well as for youth and families seeking services. Responsibilities also include completing ongoing review of subgrantees/vendors, which includes ensuring that deliverables are met, receiving and reviewing program reports, ensuring compliance with program budgets and working vendors to correct/ make adjustments as needed to meet deliverables, as well as providing information to the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) as required.

The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess:
  • Experience working with Community Partners.
  • Experience maintaining or monitoring grants and ensuring deliverables.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with local behavioral health resources to serve youth/families.
