LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
This position is an essential component of the FIA Data Analytics and Performance team. The Data Analyst works under the leadership of the Data Analytics and Performance Officer, performing actions as well as data and programming evaluations to ensure that proper controls are implemented and maintained to measure performance. The Data Analyst completes data collecting, data administration, and advanced data analysis for Family Investment Administration (FIA) projects while also contributing to ongoing quality improvement by building, developing, or recommending data management platforms.
POSITION DUTIES
- Identify trends in customer outcomes, employee productivity, and vendor performance.
- Identify and present current issues and barriers, as well as give recommendations on current work flows, procedures, and best practices, to help the Family Investment Administration's operational teams enhance their current work strategies and practices.
- Support the Data Analytics and Performance Officer in serving as the FIA's subject matter expert for data.
- Clean and organize any datasets, reports, documents, and/or other relevant files utilized to generate and manage data sets acquired from the QLIK and WORKS apps, which are required for FIA Operations' daily task management.
- Periodically examine the datasets and reports utilized by the Baltimore Works and Business Partnerships Units to ensure they are up to date.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
