Introduction

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Headquarters is in Prince George’s Country across from the New Carrollton Metro Stop.
POSITION DUTIES
The Division of Finance and Administration is seeking an enthusiastic individual to serve as the Controller of Federal Resources. The Controller will supervise a staff that manages a multi-million-dollar financing operations, servicing federal awards and state assets. The chosen candidate must have several years of financial analysis, accounting, and asset management experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of professional accounting experience, including three years performing advanced duties in grant accounting, AND three years of managing other accounting professionals:

- Candidates may substitute a bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar from an accredited college or university and thirty credit hours in Accounting, Auditing and related courses for the required education
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications including Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
- Experience with financial statement auditing
- Uniform grant guidance experience
- Experience with federal grant management and reporting
