LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
- Building manager for BHA buildings on Spring Grove Hospital Center (SGHC) campus.
- Creating, documenting and tracking maintenance requests (using Excel database) for BHA buildings on campus.
- Working closely with the maintenance staff at SGHC to ensure repair and/or replacement of building equipment is completed.
- Present when SGHC provides the yearly tests on building operations such as: fire alarm tests, elevator testing, building HVAC systems and generator testing etc.
- Evaluating ADA requests and resolving the accommodation(s) that are necessary.
- Monitoring State contracts for electronic office equipment such as: copiers and vending machines for service replacement and/or repairs, as well as, making sure the vendor is compliant to the terms and conditions of the State contract.
- Supervising and overseeing work assignments for Administrative Officer III position assigned to Facilities/General Services.
- Performing building assessments on employee workspace/buildings and make recommendations of new plans and policies to executive staff to improve work environment and daily operations.
- Overseeing BHA Building Projects such as: acoustical ceiling tile replacement and painting project; carpet replacement, dumpsters for clean out of buildings and offices, mold remediation project, window treatment replacement etc.
- Attending construction/maintenance project meetings and progress meetings with the architect and engineering firm, contractor, construction inspector and maintenance/facility director to ensure the contractor is compliant to the terms and conditions of the State issued contract.
- Working closely with MDH, OET for all cell phone requests, electronic devices and keeping accurate spreadsheets on all electronic equipment assigned to staff including cell phones, I-pads, wifi’s, laptops, docking stations, monitors etc.
- Submitting request of service to MDH, Central Services to surplus all electronic items/furniture or review staff work space to accommodate new hires or reconfigure space to meet the needs of the Division.
- Verifying all bills for copiers, shredding service, work requests, furniture requests etc. with our Finance Unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for- year basis for the required experience.
