The Center is responsible for the Commission’s health information technology (health IT) and advanced primary care initiatives. Advancing the diffusion and meaningful use of health IT (electronic health records, health information exchange, telehealth) can help address disparities in health care delivery by increasing access to care, improving quality of care, and promoting better patient and provider communication. Advanced primary care activities are aimed at implementing initiatives that center on maximizing value in care delivery and lower costs.
