Introduction
The Department of Information Technology
(DoIT) supports Maryland’s agencies and commissions through its leadership and
strategic direction in Information Technology and Telecommunications. Establishing long range target technology
architecture, encouraging cross agency collaboration and advocating best
practices for operations and project management.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES

Ticket Management
●
Assist in monitoring the queue for each contract tickets assigned
by the Intake Steering Committee
●
Establish initial contact with the requester and share the Task
Order inputs
●
Independently respond to questions or concerns regarding the TO
inputs; manage any needed revision and/or follow up meetings
●
Regular updates to the ticket
●
Route ticket request to Contracts Mgmt./PO Office/Intake/Fiscal
etc. as needed
●
Create and maintain the Request tracker for each contract
●
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
●
Create initial Task Order Draft
●
Drafts Operating Procedures, Templates etc.
●
Create and Maintain the Shared Task Order folders for each
contract
●
Work closely with Contract Manager for pre and post Task Order
release activities
●
Coordinate and Setup Interviews, Onboarding with the Agencies
●
Coordinate the BGC with the Security Group and Vendor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Six years experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year for up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Our preferred candidate
will have the following:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
(Word, Excel, Visio, and/or PowerPoint) in creating professional written
correspondence, memos, presentations, and spreadsheets.

Working Knowledge of ServiceNow
(Incidents, Requests, Workflow etc.).
●
Working knowledge of Google Suite
Applications (Email, Calendar, Meet, Spreadsheets).
●
Background in Information Technology.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency and have a current employment contract of 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) will be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Paid leave will accrue at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
