POSITION DUTIES

The main purpose of this position is to receive and process criminal justice related billing, to set up accounts receivable for receipt of payment, to provide support to internal and external customers and to process private and governmental requests for billing agreements needed.

* Complete the data entry and mailing of monthly invoices associated with networking logon ID's and CJIS's billing and Private Providers.
*Review and analyze all RAS system program billing and resolve related issues, such as data entered for CJIS-CR, Private Provider, Non­ Sufficient Funds billing into FMIS/R*STARS by the month end closing date.
*Forward all FMIS billing batches to the Asst. Director for review and release.
*Apply agency credits to related invoices, sign adjustments and forward
invoices to Account Receivable Accountant for review and signature.
* Mail Private Provider invoices as soon as they are received and all monthly billable agency invoices within the first 10 calendar days of the month.
*Process the mailing of monthly dunning notices associated with delinquent accounts.
*Ensure all financial transactions are completed in FMIS on a weekly basis.
*Develop written procedures for new processes for annotation to Financial Operations Manual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Six years experience in administrative staff or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. One year of professional experience using FMIS or any financial automatic systems.
2. One year of professional experience reviewing and analyzing billing accounts.
