Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to lead and/or provide supervision to building service workers within the EVS Department. This position is responsible for overseeing housekeeping services provided throughout the facility including patient and administrative buildings as well as other offices on campus.
Job duties to include but not limited to:

Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels for all housekeeping supplies, linens and equipment necessary to keep the facility meeting standard goals for cleanliness. 

Assigns, reviews, approves and evaluates the work of building services staff. 

Oversee the environmental conditions of the patient units in accordance with State and Joint Commission standards. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of supervisory experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must possess:
- 6-months of previous housekeeping experience

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess:
- Experience training and overseeing the work of employees
- Experience maintaining and managing inventory of housekeeping supplies.
