Main Purpose of Job

The Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police (NRP), are currently accepting applications for a Program Manager III.  This position is responsible for the MLEIN function and will direct and manage the system, which is a major program for the Natural Resources Police that is unique to its mission.  The NRP builds, maintains, controls, and distributes data and requires an individual to actively manage the system to ensure mission critical components are available without fail and are properly tuned for delivery of accurate data to NRP component forces and allied agencies. This position will receive managerial supervision from a higher-level manager.  Some examples of work include participating or leads in planning function for the MLEIN program, leads in technology implementation of radar and camera acquisition, is designated as the administrative contact person for outside agencies collaborating with NRP, applies for and administers federal grant funding associated with MLEIN, etc. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Four years of information systems program management.    

Notes:  
1.  Additional experience as specified above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 
2.  Certifications or training related to the operation of software programs that integrate with video and/or radar, or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience. 
3.  Military experience related to the operation of software programs that integrate with video and/or radar, or a closely related field may be substituted on a year for year basis for the education requirement.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using maritime domain awareness systems 
  • Experience with project management and multi-stakeholder engagement 
  • Experience with networked sensor systems
