Main Purpose of Job

This position will be responsible for the development, evaluation, management and expansion of progressive drug information/cost-effective services to the Pharmacy Program and will utilize cost-benefits, cost-effectiveness, cost-minimization, cost-of-illness and cost-utility analysis to compare pharmaceutical products and treatment strategies in order to develop policies related to Medicaid pharmacy services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field for one year of the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Doctorate degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have experience conducting healthcare data analytics and research to include cost effectiveness and outcome-based studies.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
