POSITION DUTIES

The main purpose of this full time position will be to assist the Behavioral Health Director, Assistant Director, and Management Team in the preparation, development, and interpretation of program management tools and reports. These relate to an array of Behavioral Health programs, including grant-funded and fee-for-service programs. This position coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure accurate and timely completion of grant and budgetary reports, productivity reports, spreadsheets, contracts, procedural manuals, and work-flow charts. This position is integral in ensuring the Behavioral Health Director and Assistant Director have accurate, timely and concise information to inform decisions and work that will be done to further the goals and objectives of the program. The selected applicant must be able to work and travel to all sites of the Worcester County Health Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above at the rate of one year experience for 30 credit hours of education for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

For education obtained outside the U.S., any job offer will be contingent on the candidate providing an evaluation for equivalency by a foreign credential evaluation service prior to starting employment (and may be requested prior to interview).
