Introduction
The Maryland
Developmental Disabilities Council (Council), a dynamic, statewide public
policy and advocacy organization, is hiring a Director of Grant Management
& Reporting. The Director will join a small staff and work with a 30-member
council and other partners to help advance the organization’s mission and
improve policies, programs, and practices that impact the lives of Marylanders
with developmental disabilities across the lifespan. The Council works to
eliminate barriers, create opportunities, empower people, and promote

authority.

LOCATION OF POSITION
POSITION DUTIES
The Director of Grant Management & Reporting also directs and manages, in compliance with federal and Council policies and procedures, all aspects of reporting to the Council and federal funder. This includes collecting and reporting on the extensive activities, outputs, and outcomes of Council staff activities and numerous grantees throughout the state. The Director of Grant Management & Reporting also coordinates and contributes to the development of the Council’s 5-year State Plan and other internal and external reports. Related to this, the Director oversees the Council’s evaluation plan. In addition, the position performs other duties that support and enhance the work of the Council.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited
college or university.
Experience: Five years of experience in
administrative staff or professional work. Three (3) years of this experience
must have involved leading initiatives or projects in the field of disabilities
or a related field.
1. Additional
experience in administrative staff or professional work in the field of
disabilities or related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for
the required education.
2. Additional
graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be
substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year to year basis for
the required general experience.
3. Candidates may
substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned
officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules,
regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating
unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking
commissioned officer on a year to year basis for the required education and
experience.
