Main Purpose of Job

This position will serve as the Director for Administrative Services for the Kent County Health Department.  Administrative services includes fiscal, budget, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fleet management, MA transportation, security, human resources, purchasing/procurement, physical plant/maintenance, and information technology.  This position will be responsible for: Oversight, planning, preparation and management of the Kent County Health Department's budget; Planning, organizing and supervising administrative personnel; and, Development and implementation of rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to Administration and HIPAA compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of professional experience in an administrative field that includes fiscal oversight and at least two years of experience at the managerial or supervisory level. 

Candidates must also possess at least one year of experience in each of the following areas:

  • Planning, preparing and managing budgets.
  • Developing and implementing rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Supervising multiple departments on a daily basis.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
