Main Purpose of Job
Supervise and manage DORS professional and support staff and in order to ensure the application of federal and state laws, regulations and Division policy in determining the eligibility of individuals with disabilities for vocational rehabilitation services, the planning and implementation of vocational rehabilitation services to assist those individuals maintain, prepare for and obtain gainful employment consistent with their skills, capacities and vocational choices within a reasonable period of time as defined within Individualized Plans for Employment.
POSITION DUTIES
Plans, develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive service delivery system; provides supervision, direction and training to staff and evaluates performance; manages budget and program activities; reviews and approves services for clients in accordance with established policies; facilitates working relationships with schools, agencies, businesses and organizations; serves as a resource of information about employers and employment opportunities and initiates activities to foster community awareness and employment of individuals with disabilities.
