Main Purpose of Job

This full time contractual Executive Associate II will function as the Maryland Primary Care Program (MDPCP) Office Coordinator.  This position will be responsible for working directly with the Executive Director and the Program Director of the Program Management Office and supporting the remainder of the MDPCP team. The position will coordinate activities and stakeholder engagement for the MDPCP, assist Program Management Office leadership with writing and editing materials, and manage office inventory and space. The position will also provide ample program coordination to Program Management Office staff, which includes assistance in budget and procurement, and data administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates should possess a high school diploma and at least and five years of administrative support or professional work experience. 

Candidates may substitute additional college level education from an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for one year of the required experience, for up to four years of experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • Experience with scheduling for large groups and senior leadership with active calendars;
  • Experience handling fiscal matters such as budgets and/or procurement;
  • Basic knowledge of databases or customer relationship management systems, preferably Salesforce;
  • Basic understanding of the role of public health;
  • Basic understanding of primary care and the health system; and,
  • Basic experience using MS Office Suite and Google Office Suite.

Candidates may remain on the certified eligible list for a period of at least one year. The resulting certified eligible list for this recruitment may be used for similar positions in this or other State agencies.

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.

Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
