Introduction
This is a position Specific Recruitment for the State Department of Assessments and Taxation, Baltimore County Assessments Office. The resulting eligible list will be used for this position only. Interested persons will need to reapply for future recruitments in this classification.
This recruitment is limited to current employees within the State Department of Assessments and Taxation.

Main Purpose of Job
An Assessments Office Manager Assistant is the supervisory level of work assisting in the oversight of the administrative and clerical operation for all phases of the assessments records process in a local office of the Department of Assessments and Taxation. Employees in this classification supervise clerical staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalence certificate.
Experience: Five years of clerical or technical experience in processing property assessment records and forms.
Notes:
1. Additional experience performing general clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to 2 years of the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in financial administration and program classification or financial administration and program specialty codes in the accounting and budget field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Clerical and technical experience in processing assessments records and forms.
Experience with policies and practice used in Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
Must be willing to work at the Baltimore County Assessments Office.
This recruitment is limited to current employees within the State Department of Assessments and Taxation.
