Work that matters. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is a national leader in the financing and development of affordable housing and community development lending. DHCD has an immediate opening for an Administrative Specialist in the section of the Division of Credit Assurance. This position maintains accurate data in the Multifamily database and software systems and to verify through review of loan documents what data should be entered into the Multifamily Systems. Accurate data is essential to the mission of the agency as the multifamily systems produces reports and tracking information which assists asset management in monitoring of multifamily properties.

The Department of Housing and Community Development Headquarters is located in Prince George's County across from the New Carrollton Metro stop.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Experience: One year of experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.
2. Candidates may substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Six months of experience with database entry
- Six months of general experience with loan documentation review
- Six months of experience with general accounting, bookkeeping, and/or related experience
