MDH Eastern Shore Hospital Center, Cambridge, MD

The main purpose of this position is to provide statistical and methodology expertise to various healthcare related projects at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center, a State psychiatric facility. This position will participate in quality assurance, quality improvement and process improvement efforts to assure quality care and safety for the patients and staff of the facility. The position will also provide input on design and analysis of survey tools for patients and staff members to elicit feedback to evaluate care, services and safety. This position works with various professional and clinical staff to meet their deliverables.

Education: Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of nine semester hours, or the equivalent, of graduate coursework in research methodology, theoretical or applied statistics or measurement theory.

Experience: One year of post-master’s experience in statistical research.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Statistician classifications or Statistician and Intelligence Officer specialty codes in the Statistics field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

The desired candidate should have experience developing and analyzing statistical data as well as experience planning, formatting and organizing final written reports.
