Introduction
This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

POSITION DUTIES
This position is responsible for social work program planning and management, including data analysis and reporting. The incumbent in this position manages a staff of over 40 professionals and paraprofessionals in 26 State correctional institutions.
Position duties include developing and identifying group treatment protocols for service delivery; evaluating program delivery, making adjustments where needed; assigning, monitoring, and reporting on grants for prevention, tracking, and care; coordinating and providing clinical oversight of the social work programs; coordinating the medical parole program, evaluating cases and recommending decisions; working with the medical contractor regarding Medicaid/discharge planning, enrollment, and special needs inmates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) accredited college or university, and be a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C)
Experience: Five years of experience providing clinical oversight of social work programs for an organization or governmental agency, including making recommendations to executive staff based on data analyses. This experience must have included supervision of staff members with advanced degrees in social work, working in multiple locations/units.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience providing management oversight of mental health programs in correctional facilities and/or with the justice involved population in the community
- Experience conducting outreach to community partners dealing with the elderly, people with disabilities, homeless people, inmates, and/or veterans
- Grant writing experience
- Experience conducting statistical analyses
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
