This is a position specific recruitment for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police. This recruitment will be used to fill current vacancies for the position and may be used to fill future vacancies in the same classification/function. Future vacancies may also be filled via other recruitments.

Main Purpose of Job
The Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police, is currently accepting applications for a Computer Information Services Specialist II. This position provides technical support to the Natural Resources Police for their law enforcement applications and related hardware, along with account management and inventory control. The position is also responsible for maintaining and modifying operating systems for multipurpose, multi-tasking computers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.
Notes:
1. Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base or other applications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Jasper Reports, VBScript, XML data
Experience with Dell Image Assist or contemporary equivalent computer imaging applications
