Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration or Personnel Specialist classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Special Assistant or Secretarial fields of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
1. Two years experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Two years experience working for a senior level administrator or executive.
3. Experience working with FMIS
4. Experience reconciliating financial statements
5. Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
6. Ability to demonstrate teamwork.
7. Flexibility in a busy environment.
8. Strong time management, priority setting and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
10. Ability to organize and manage executive schedules.

The assessment will be a rating of your application based on your education, training and experience as they relate to the requirements of the position. Candidates shall be certified to the eligible list for a period of one year. This list will be used by the DJS hiring agency to select employees.
If you have completed education outside the US, you will need to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.
