Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Maintenance of MAP Online Database and Website §
Ongoing maintenance and evaluation of the MAP web-based searchable database.
Ensure that information in the MAP website is current and accurate.
Organize and direct the work of the MAP interns in entering data into the MAP website.
Train and oversee MDoA, AAA, and CIL staff in use of the searchable database and quality control checks.
Outreach, Education, and Marketing
Ensure continuing education opportunities are provided to State and local staff involved with Maryland Access Point.
Work with the LTS Division Manager to develop database and certification training information, strategy and events for MAP partners.
Work with the LTS Division Manager in expanding and maintaining outreach and marketing efforts to educate the public and providers and agencies about the MAP program.
Evaluation and Support
Work with the LTS Division Manager in ensuring the Department is compliant with all relevant state and federal policies in its responsibilities related to the Aging and Disability Resource Center and Information and Assistance programs.
Provide constituent support to individuals with unique situations that either cannot be supported by the local agencies or come from the Executive office.
Regularly review best practices in ADRC management and operations from other states and jurisdictions. Provide updates and recommendations to supervisor, Deputy Secretary, and Secretary.
Work with the LTS Division Manager in developing and implementing new policies and organizational changes to assure the integration of MAP programs in the Department and in Maryland’s overall efforts.
Federal Financial Participation
Train MDoA and local MAP staff on administrative FFP time tracking, data collection, billing and recordkeeping protocols, FFP-related policies, procedures, and operational issues, and other information regarding the reimbursement process.
Generate monthly reports on MAP Medicaid administrative FFP activities at the State level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience implementing state and federal funded programs regarding individuals seeking long term services.
Experience in Outreach and Marketing
Ability to update and evaluate web-based searchable databases
Strong communication and group leadership abilities.
