Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Plans and carries out the logistics services in the MD Military Department to include supply and storage management, fleet management and stock control functions.
Reviews, analyzes and interprets directives and procedural instructions received from higher authority.
Formulates operating procedures necessary to support the Director of Logistics, Supply and Services, units and activities.
Plans, develops and issues policies affecting logistical support and operations.
Collects and consolidates data for areas in which operations are contemplated.
Performs physical inventory of supplies and equipment as directed by the State Inventory Management Division of the Department of General Services.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate.
Experience: Four years of experience in the disposal of surplus equipment, materials and supplies.
Notes:
1. Education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of experience, for up to 2 years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service
experience as a non-commissioned officer in Supply and Logistics classifications or Supply and Materials Control and Management specialty codes in the supply field of work on a year-for-year basis for the
required experience.
