Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Manages and leads a continuum of child and family welfare programs with the Child, Adult and Family Services Division to ensure that high quality services are delivered to customers.
In the absence of the Director and as delegated by the Director, makes independent decisions affecting program operations, public relations and the health, well-being and safety issues for children and vulnerable adults in the care and custody or the agency and at-risk of harm, including authorization to sign medical consent documents.
Manages employee performance to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services and to develop employees to meet individual, team and organizational goals.
Manages financial resources and budgets (including identifying funding requirements, advocating for appropriate funding levels, allocating funds appropriately, reconciling income expenditures) in order to ensure that programs and budgets are fiscally sound.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Masters Degree in a human services field to include Social Work, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Counseling, or Nursing.
Experience: Eight (8) years of experience providing services in cases involving at least one of the following: suspected child or adult abuse or neglect; out of home placement; guardianship; emergency protective order; adoption; or juvenile justice services.
Five (5) years of the above experience must have been in an administrative, supervisory, or consultative capacity.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Licensed Certified Social Worker- LCSW or Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical- LCSW-C
